When a fashion designer gets married, we get giddy. And if we had known the extent of the beauty and the thoughtfulness of the details that would accompany this gorgeous couple’s wedding, we would have gotten much more than giddy! This wedding took the proverbial cake, as the bride designed her own fabric patterns (both a “his” and a “hers” pattern!) which we then incorporated in various ways – upholstering furniture for cocktail hour, creating tablecloths, and even crafting socks for the groomsmen! Their outdoor ceremony, held in the Linden Grove underneath a custom cross created by Southern Blooms, left not a dry eye amongst their three-hundred guests – however, all of them quickly turned to celebration as they were greeted with a lamb-chop grill and Moscow Mule station at their cocktail hour. An incredible custom lighting/floral installation from Blue Ridge AV & Lighting dazzled guests as it dripped Edison bulbs and locally foraged greens above their forty-foot-long head table. Their Motown band kept guests on the dance floor – while they were not dining on the amazing, Southern-inspired gourmet food stations dreamed up by The Catering Outfit. As this gorgeous couple dug up the bourbon they had buried in hopes of good weather, we all realized that they had been given much more than just good weather – their wedding was infused with joy in the deepest sense.
